The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives you rights when a consumer report is used to make a decision about you. The notices above, published by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, explain those rights.
Dispute Information in a Report
TurboPass delivers reports produced by consumer reporting agencies. If you believe information in a report is inaccurate or incomplete, tell us what you are disputing and why, and we will forward your dispute to the consumer reporting agency that produced the report.
Request a Copy of Your Report
You have the right to know what is in a report about you. To request a copy, contact us using the button below. We verify your identity before releasing anything.
Identity Theft
If you believe you are a victim of identity theft:
- Contact the businesses where you know fraud occurred and ask them to close or freeze the affected accounts.
- Place a free fraud alert by contacting any one of the nationwide consumer reporting agencies. You may also place a free security freeze on your credit file.
- Report the theft to the Federal Trade Commission at IdentityTheft.gov, which will help you build a recovery plan.
The Remedying the Effects of Identity Theft notice above explains your additional rights as a victim, including blocking fraudulent information from your report.
